Comprehensive Services Packing of Hazardous Goods
Before any hazardous goods are tendered for transport, these must be packed in accordance with the applicable packing instructions, which stipulate the use of UN tested and approved packing material.
DGM is well stocked with UN tested packing materials. UN tested drums, fibreboard boxes, cans in all sizes and special packagings, suitable to safely move hazardous goods and with the necessary absorbent material.

Air Transport
Airfreight consignments, containing hazardous materials can only be offered for air transportation by currently certified personnel trained in dangerous goods. The Shippers Declaration of Dangerous Goods is a legal document, certifying that the shipment is in full compliance with regulations. Any untrained person signing such a legal document is not only irresponsible, but accepts full legal liability by doing so.
Wherever the national laws allows, DGM assumes all defined responsibilities, and acts as the Shipper on record. Naturally, DGM's clients are fully covered by a comprehensive legal liability insurance policy.
Ocean Transport
Ocean transport is not (yet) subject to such licensing, but it is no easy job to interpret the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG or IMO). The IMO DG Shippers Declaration requires that the party signing the documentation, certifies that the shipment is documented, packed etc. in accordance with regulations. Only a trained person can implement the legal requirements involved.
Road Transport
ADR is a European agreement, regulating road transport of dangerous goods. However, the ADR classifications and documentation for road transport (still) deviate from i.e. Air transport (IATA). This can cause problems on air cargo consignments, which are shuttled between airports, by trans-border trucking.
